Videography

Video has always been a a passion of mine. Below is collection of videos created over the past years. A mixture of College, Freelance, Corporate and Client work.

Finegan Brothers & Co. – BrewBag Promo

The concept behind this video was to highlight and advertise a new product developed by the Finegan Brothers,  BrewBags. The objective was to show how effortless they are to create, alongside their tagline, “Great Coffee, Made Simple”. I was given full creativity for this project.

Overall I am happy with the outcome, as was the client. Footage was filmed on a GH5 DSLR, a Mavic Mini 1 Drone and edited using Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe Audition.

Dunshaughlin Veterinary Clinic – Promo

As part of a college assignment, I was given the challenge to create a promotional video for a local charity/business. My first instinct was to approach my local vet as they have done amazing work over the years supporting local pet owners and of course my own Dog.

I planned to highlight what a typical day would consist of in the Clinic. Filming took place over one day from opening to close capturing all the moments and highlighting their duties.

Overall, I am very happy with the outcome.

A Day in the life of a HPO – Spectrum.Life x Microsoft Ireland

The Role of a Health Promotion officer is to be the go to for all things Health and Wellbeing within a company. They coordinate the identification, planning, developing and delivering of wellbeing initiatives. They also increase employee awareness of health issues such as the importance of exercise and diet.

The objective of this video was to display a typical day of a Health Promotion Officer on the Microsoft Ireland campus.

I was responsible for filming and editing aswell as assisting with the script.

Spectrum.Life Rebrand – Launch Day Promo

In April 2019, Spectrum Wellness rebranded to Spectrum.Life. My colleagues and I wanted this to be a day to remember. Amongst the Content and Marketing team we brainstormed and came up with a plan to symbolise the company going up, quite literally with the use of the song and drone. My role was to capture the ground footage and post edit.
Filming & editing was completed during the morning and ready to launch that afternoon.
It was a hugely successful occasion to launch the rebrand and a full team effort.

Recipe Videos for a Healthy Diet

The Spectrum.Life client platform consists of over 200 healthy recipes in video format accompanied by recipes ingredients and stats. This was a major project was contributed to the success of the Platform launch.

Filming took place 2 weeks at a time throughout the year during 2018/19 using multiple industrial kitchens and chef expertise to deliver high quality recipes ranging from breakfast, snacks, and dinners.

My duty was to record and edit all recipes to be ready and packaged for the platform. Alongside recording videos, product shots of finished meals were also taken as thumbnails for each recipe.

Fitness Videos for Workout Plans

The Spectrum.Life platform consist of tailored workout plans which are created based of your goals and metrics. Alongside the recipe videos mentioned above, we also created of 200 short how to workout videos to guide users how to correctly complete an exercise. These workouts were also housed within workout plans detailing reps and sets in order for users to reach their goals.

Filming took place in Liffey Trust studios over the course of a week with the use of qualified fitness instructors demoing each exercise. Photos were also taken to use as thumbnails on the platform.

Short Film – Don’t Look Back

Don’t Look Back is a short film I created during in college as part of a group project within our Film Studies module. The Concept was that a killer clown broke out of prison and was on the loose. This project was challenging as it tested abilities to plan, improvise and adapts with issues that arose.

Overall it was a very enjoyable project, as it gave us the opportunity to be creative, develop scripts, hire actors and execute the ideas the we collectively agreed on. I took on the lead filming role and as a group we divided the editing workload.

What’s your Favourite Module – College Q/A

As part of a college assignment we were tasked with recording and editing a Question and Answer on the topic of college modules. Amongst small teams we divided and recorded collaboratively.

All after edits were each to our own and I wanted to make a story with the answers given. With the use of emotional music and B Roll I gave the viewer a visual interpretation of the answers given. This project was great as it gave focus on teamwork and bounding amongst classmates.

Ski Centre Dublin – Social Promo

At the Ski Centre, they use unique revolving slope technology that simulates real ski runs & allows skiers to get in realistic length ski runs.
I was approached by their marketing team to create a short social snippet to highlight the services available with the building with a CTA to book a lesson.

Footage was captured on a Nikon DSLR, edited in Adobe Premier Pro and subtle titles added using Adobe After Effects.

Oblivious – Short Awareness Film

Oblivious was a college group project during Year 2. My role was lead Videographer and Editor.

The concept was; “Two People, Two Nights Out, Two Different Situations”, to highlight the Homeless crisis in Dublin City Centre.

We decided then that this idea, of using two actors, of the same age and gender, to portray one “well off” character, who has the money to be spending on nights out in town, in a bar and can afford luxury items, versus a homeless character, who cannot afford anything and is experiencing a night “out” on the streets.

Professional Profile – Mitchell Murray

As part of a college assignment I was tasked with creating a professional profile in video format. I chose Mitchell as he was in the role that I wanted to aspire to and found it a good way to gain insight of what life after college could look like.

Prior meeting Mitch I had questions ready and on the day conducted an interview. I found the use of B Roll in the edit essential and it brought the conversation to life.
